The Challenge

TO CREATE A HOSTED PHONE SYSTEM THAT SIMPLIFIED THEIR CURRENT TELECOMS, ALLOWED THEM TO SELL ONTO TENANTS AND MEET TENANTS’ REQUIREMENTS AND TO GENERATE PROFIT.

The tenants at Woodside Park were struggling with their telecoms on site. The management team were having to ring BT to install new lines every time a tenant moved in or relocated offices internally. This was proving to be highly inefficient and costly.

The Solution

Connexin were commissioned to install a flexible voice platform, which would work seamlessly between the seven buildings, allow scalability and flexibility, provide full business class voice features, handle high call volumes over low bandwidth and allow the management to resell to their tenants.

The following services provided were as follows:

Hosted Phone Systems with advanced features such as Call Recording, forwarding & Voicemail to email.

  1. Wholesale account set up – to allow Woodside to bill multiple businesses under its one account.
  2. Porting of existing ISDN and DDI numbers
  3. Configuration of handsets and call menus
  4. Onsite installation and training

The project was split and delivered in 3 stages:

Stage 1 – Initiation of existing tenant number porting

During this stage we identified all the existing tenants, their phone numbers and managed the porting process of these numbers from BT on to Connexin.

Stage 2 – Phone system configuration and Phone set up

Configuration of hosted phone system to allow full functionality across all seven sites as well as easy “moving” and remote working. The appropriate handsets were then configured and installed on site.

Stage 3 – Activation and decommissioning

The new phones and system was run in parallel with the existing phones to prevent any downtime and allow a smooth transition so that once porting completed the old phones would stop working and the new phones would take over. The old handsets were then removed and recycled for the client.

Outcome

The Connexin hosted platform exceeded all of the clients expectations with no disruption to their tenants. The management team were able to offer a managed telephone offering to their tenants that provided all the desired features, offered savings on calls, gave flexibility and generated the client profit. The project was completed within 24 days (due to porting).
